Did anyone else spot Richard Branson on the grid at Monza on Sunday. He looked as though he was talking to a Ferrari person, but I’m not sure.
Now young Richard, he and I are the same age you know, has never really been known to take a lot of time off work so I’m wondering what he was doing on the grid at Monza.
Looking to buy a team perhaps? The Virgin brands favorite colour is red but I don’t think the BIG red team is for sale. But there’s another team, something Rosso (I think that is red in Italian), that is up for sale…………
Richard, after Vettels win, I think the price has gone up!
I watched a TV documentary about Stephen Hawking recently on BBC TV.
Similarities were drawn, as is often the case, between the work of Hawking and Galileo, both being renown physicists.
The program pointed out that Stephen Hawking and Galileo Galilee have a date in common. The date is 8th January. In Galileo’s case 1642 and in Stephen’s case 1942.
The coincidence is that Galileo Galilee died on 8th January 1642 and Stephen Hawking was born on 8th January 1942, 300 years to the day after Galileo died.
Galileo was much troubled for his beliefs, amongst others, that the earth rotated around the sun, he was persecuted, threatened with death and after apologising for his erroneous ways was eventually allowed to spend the end of his days under house arrest.
After that lot, if Galileo had decided to reincarnate, I bet he would have chosen to return as someone who did not appear to be quite such a threat.
Hey Presto!

We seem to hear so much about the unconscious mind these days, NLPers and hypnotherapists tells us that the unconscious is the secret to our success, that access to our unconscious is the Xanadu of self-improvement. We are also told that our dreams are a window on our unconscious.
Now, I’m not saying they are wrong, no sir! Indeed, I think in principal they are right. But I had a dream the other night, and in my dream appeared a Red Tractor. When I say appeared, I mean that one-split-second it was not there and the next it was, quick as a flash. An old-fashioned Red Tractor with solid tyres in a field in the sunshine, viewed from inside a barn with the door open. It didn’t appear slowly all shrouded in mist gradually materialising from the sleeping giant, my unconscious.
Now the question I asked myself was “What is so unconscious about that?”.
Maybe you could call me An Old Hair Splitter, but I would call that more subconscious than unconcious.
Of course when I say one-split-second I mean that it seemed like one-split-second. It could have been most of the night!

Last Friday evening a friend came up to me and said, “I’ve just qualified as a spiritual healer”.
I wondered who had signed the certificate.
